How you’ll help
We are seeking a talented and motivated Front End Engineer to join our growing team. The Front End Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing user interfaces that are intuitive, functional, and aesthetically pleasing. The successful candidate will have a passion for web development, a strong understanding of front-end technologies, and a track record of building high-quality web applications.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing user interfaces: Creating user-friendly and responsive web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Collaborating with other teams: Working with product, design, and back-end engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of the front-end and back-end systems.
- Ensuring technical feasibility of UI/UX designs: Evaluating the feasibility of UI/UX designs, suggesting changes if necessary, and working with designers to ensure that the designs can be implemented effectively.
- Developing reusable code: Building reusable code and libraries that can be used across multiple applications and projects.
- Optimizing applications: Optimizing web applications for maximum speed and scalability to ensure that they load quickly and perform well on a range of devices.
- Ensuring cross-browser compatibility: Ensuring that web applications are compatible with different web browsers and devices, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies: Keeping up-to-date with the latest front-end development trends and technologies, and integrating them into development processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participating in code reviews: Participating in code reviews to ensure that high code quality is maintained across the development team.
- Troubleshooting issues: Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to front-end development, and working with other team members to identify the root cause of problems.
- Communicating with other team members: Communicating effectively with other team members, including product managers, designers, and back-end engineers, to ensure that project goals are met and deadlines are achieved.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in front-end development, preferably in a startup environment.
- Strong understanding of web development technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and at least one modern front-end framework (React, Vue, or Angular).
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
- Experience with server-side languages such as Node.js is a plus.
- Familiarity with cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
- Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
