When your skin needs a little TLC, you don’t need to bust out your credit card and spend big bucks on a product. All you need are some essentials you already have on hand at home.

In Intuition’s first-ever virtual variety show, viewers were able to learn five fun new skills in under 30 minutes. One of those skills was from Anna Farkas, a New York City-based holistic health coach who showed how to make a DIY sea salt scrub that basically brings the spa to your home. Aside from giving your skin a boost, it also helps send you straight into relaxation-mode—a true win-win.

“Self-care is an essential part of our internal and our external well-being. We need to be able to enjoy this experience from the beginning to the end,” she says. “Dim the lights, put on some music you really like, light some candles, and put your phone onto Do Not Disturb. Give yourself time to have this sanctuary to really get to your health from the outside in.”

According to Farkas, winding down and using her simple sea salt face and body scrub has a couple different benefits. The sea salt helps slough away dead skin cells and cleanse your pores, and the oil makes your skin look more radiant.  And all you need is some sea salt and your oil of choice to get started.
